Yukon Provincial Nominee Program
The government of Yukon works with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to invite foreign skilled workers and business men to fill the vacant occupations that could boost the economy of Yukon. Nominated candidates are allowed to apply for Canada PR visa.
Yukon PNP immigration categories
As part of Yukon PNP candidates may qualify under one of the following categories:
- Yukon Express Entry
- Skilled worker program
- Critical impact worker program
- Yukon Business Nominee program
Yukon Express Entry
Skilled applicants with relevant job experience and sound command over English language can apply under Yukon Express Entry system.
Skilled Worker Program
Skilled professionals who have been offered a full time employment by a Yukon employer can apply under Yukon Skilled worker program. The skilled professionals must possess at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Critical Impact worker
This is an employer driven stream and seeks potential candidates who fall within the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill level C or D.
Eligibility of Critical Impact worker is given below:
- Must carry education and relevant work experience to fulfill job conditions according to criteria mentioned in the NOC
- Must satisfy the minimum IELTS or TEF test requirements
Yukon PNP Eligibility requirements
To be eligible under Yukon PNP the candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Must have a valid job offer made by Yukon employer and the job offer must meet the nomination criteria
- Should carry relevant work experience
- Demonstrate a genuine intention to live in Yukon and apply for Permanent Residency within 3 to 6 months of commencing the Job
- Meet the language requirements
- If the worker is in Canada at the time of application, they must have a valid work permit or a student visa
